forgot to post this on here
…not feeling like I had executed my project as true intermedia, I decided to play off of my failure and make a whole new stop motion movie about what happened. After working on the last one for two weeks and bombing at the due date, I made a film about my reaction. Naturally, I get mad, throw a fit, do a little work and then get drunk.
haha I really like it. I like the black and white too it was a great spin.
So sorry this is so rough… I dont have a scanner. My basic concept is just a following of some activities during a nice fall day. It’s a little random in the activities but thats what I want, it does kind of tell a story but I wanted it to be kind of random and not make a ton of sense. I have a few songs picked out but I’m not sure what one to use it is down to Left Behind by Zero 7, Walkaways by Counting Crows, Wurlitzer by David Gray, or Lost Fur by Karen O & the kids. Right now I have like 500 photos? I need about a hundred more so that will be my task tomorrow and I’m hoping to be able to get it all together on Thursday to see how it runs.

Technology just blows my mind… the things that scientists can achieve is just incredible and it keeps advancing.

My idea of new media would consist of advancing technology. All forms of technology are evolving constantly creating new media and new ways of communicating information and/or ideas.
After reading Manovich’s text my idea hasn’t really changed at all. I think it all has to do with the evolution of process and production which is something that he talks about in the article. I think the term new media can be a little vauge and a bit confusing. It is hard to really say for sure what new media is because it is always changing but new media would include what is new at the moment but tomorrow it may change or in a couple years it may change. He talks a lot about change, and that is what I think new media primarily does, it changes process, production, and the way we view almost everything.
